Default Why is it so hard to get a hold of college faculty?
This is what happens when you live in a crappy place like Maryland.

You should go talk to a transfer adviser as they specialize in that sort of thing.

The transfer advisors tell me to talk to the department heads.

Did you escape?
I've never had to live there (thank everything) but I have worked there on two separate stints. Escaped the first by going back to school after a few years. Escaped the second by finagling a transfer back to Virginia. I still have to travel to Maryland from time to time but I can't even flee as quickly as possible due to unspeakable nanny-state speed cameras.

My transfer and academic advisers at Nova were invaluable.

Driving at a reasonable speed causes greater wear and tear on the roads. Alas, American road construction has been done on the cheap.

All I know is that if I'm stuck behind someone slow, they tend to have Maryland tags. (Followed by BMWs and Priuses of any state, often Virginia given my driving patterns).

I've never driven in a more frustrating or annoying country than the US...
Try China.

I can definitely imagine it would be worse to drive - most places in the third world would be as well - but at least it would be exciting!

It's the braindead driving on cruise control bollocks I can't stand in the US.

Egypt is probably the craziest place I've been in a car (driven) on a regular basis - the taxis in Cairo are mental ****ers...!
While there's a fair proportion ignoring the traffic "guidelines" to advance their own position in traffic ( ), there's still a significant portion that just plods along ignoring said "guidelines" ( ). But it's the added and seemingly arbitrary use of No Left Turn and No U Turn signs that adds the real flavor. (Fortunately I merely observed as a passenger).

Then I left DC suburbs and discovered that most of the rest of the country has no concept of rush hour.

Why would you think you need both of the same thing? Just get the one with the Plus access whatever. Even if you somehow needed the other book (yeah right), you can find that out when the class starts.

I wouldn't think I would need both, which is why I sent an email to my professor rather than buying both.
Are you autistic?

Dude, use common sense and initiative. Buy the book with the extra features and stop bothering your professor. Holy crap.
