Apparently Alfina Nasyrova, the woman quoted in the last part of the interview, who "normally ... wear[s] a bikini" to the beach was Miss Kazakhstan in 2007:

I guess she was telling the truth. I can only conclude that she mustn't like "feeling so clean, so pure"...

Perhaps Muslims dress their women in bathing suits like that to make them look more childlike. Lord knows, Ms. Kazak could not be mistaken for a child while wearing a bikini.
