Ugh, I was on a site with many really right-wing Americans for a number of years. They loved quoting DEBKA articles which are consistently over-the-top and seek to suggest we're always on the edge of WW3 when these countries in the Middle-East have less fire-power than say Balitmore (I jest, slightly). They love to suggest that they've deep insider information and by extension, so do you. It is a mix of propaganda and sensationalism that gets old as little ever transpires the way their analysis suggests.
This article basically states the obvious, but dresses it up to appear that they've deep sources. Any fool can tell that the US wants to take the gloves off and start dropping bombs on random things in Syria. The more re-building contracts, the better and it is easy to locate bridges and power-plants. Concerning Syria - too little thought is being given as to who will replace Assad. The Arab Spring isn't a movement to bring about Westernisation and freedom, it is to replace military backed, secular Dictators with Islamists. |
