I remember watching Christopher Hitchens early one morning maybe 20 years ago on C-SPAN having a chuckle at the thought of some toothless hillbilly from the Appalachians running around claiming to be made in God's image...

he was on their morning show with Brian Lamb (or crew), people actually get to talk without a host interrupting every 10 secs.

C-SPAN has to show the House when its in session, but they have plenty of air time to fill since they're 24 hour. I think C-SPAN 2 has the same obligation for the Senate, and I heard a C-SPAN 3 started up but I dont know that arrangement. They'll show a bunch of the primary and general election campaigning etc too, even for minor parties. Frankly its about as non-partisan and unbiased as I've seen in our media.
