You didn't even know he is an Arab til I brought it up in another thread. Steve Jobs is one of many "stealth Arabs".

Don't flatter yourself. I've known he was one of them for a while.

Apple stock hasn't reacted. The Arabs, Jews ,and Canadians that rule the world aren't bailing out.

I suspect it will open at 330 (376 now), drop steeply to 280, go back up a bit, hit a bidding support somewhere around 300, and then churn slowly downwards with the occasional choppyness. Let's see.
Cool, you should short it.

Seriously. It's asinine that Apple was able to be worth more(however briefly) than Exxon last week. If Apple and it's products disappeared we'd have a hiccup, and then everyone would get new tablets/phones/unibody computers. If Exxon and it's assets disappeared we'd be living Mad Max inside of a week.

On the one hand, Jobs was a perfectionist involved in every product detail. So his retirement is significant. On the other hand, a lot of people with long positions will be anxious to see their value evaporate too quickly, so I suspect they'll support prices until they can get their size in discreetly.

Watch the darkbooks!
Stock was priced at ~358 in after-hours trading when this laughably precise prediction was made. At 367 now. Can't wait for that 330 open.

He's been having health problems for a while now. I don't see why news of his resignation is supposed to be some earth-shaking revelation to investors that would drastically alter their expectations of the company? I'm guessing investors thought this sort of thing was likely.

Even funnier is the thought that people may be trading for hours before they realize that Jobs resigned.

Holding strong, ant the day is old.
Yes, I'm quite surprised. While earnings may be good, and the company is currently healthy, the question is how Apple will fare under new management in terms of innovation in the longer run.
