Obama probably will win. I know it's a small sample size but an incumbent president hasn't lost since Bush Sr. I wonder if the modern 24/7 news media and modern campaigning gives too much strength to incumbents. I'm just thinking about how the next few months will feature Republicans trashing each other more than Obama and that being in the public consciousness for months. That stuff wasn't around 20-30 years ago.
Romney had better get the nomination. Every candidate in that debate (which, I note, Rick Perry and Romney were not in) is a raving loon. I don't know anything about Perry yet to make that determination, however. I would love a Romney-Giuliani ticket but Giuliani's infidelity will hurt him and it looks like he wants to return a favor to Perry for Perry apparently supporting Giuliani's presidential bid in 2008... |
