She asked for it to pay a bill. It was like a payday loan where she just needed the money until her next paycheck. Then the paycheck wasn't big enough, then she lost her job, and so forth. You know how it goes.

I'm salvaging some of this money even if I have to use the threat of violence.

how is that your problem rather than Sodexo's?

you need to seriously 're-tweak' your personal judgement mechanisms...

We went on a business trip. He had an expense account and I did not. I offered to use my AMEX to pay for our meals. He was instructed by our boss to reimburse me when he was paid by the company for the expenses. He pocketed the money.

He is no longer employed by the company because he was embezzling money using the gas account for the company vehicles.
