What TLOZ said! Thank You! Indeed, there is no place like NYC. However over the years, the glow of returning has gone out somewhat. But I keep returning, going down the streets I used to when I lived in NYC. *I am working on a musical about New York.

Sincerely,

ShowBiz

Well, I went and saw Manna this past weekend. *I was actually very surpised, because indie films go one way or another--- either really great or really horrible. *IMO- i thought this one was more on the great side. *It was also really nice to have the production company there after the film to answer questions and such...overall a generally good experience.

I heard that the movie's been extended for another week here in NY and that if you can get a group of 10 together, you get a free movie pass. *I suppose you could find more details on the sister's website: *www.fivesistersproductions.com

#Moderation Mode

The Village Voice normally has information about Independent Films. The New York Times does as well, usually in the Weeknd Section on Fridays.

I'm going to move this to Anything Goes because the question applies to one film and it was answered.

The producers of the movie have a website about the movie and its whistle stop tour. *It will be shown in the New York area on April 4th. *Here's a link to the schedule on their website

You can check in some of the local magazines, like Time Out New York or New York Magazine. I know, there's not much variety in their titles, but they are all very informative when you want to find out about some of the more loy-key cultural events.

It would be quicker to check out http://www.newyorkmetro.com, however. *Cheaper, too.

Default 'Manna From Heaven' - Indie film
I just moved to New York several weeks ago and I'm still getting used to being in the city. *I just had a quick question for those of you who may be into independent film. *A good friend of mine in Columbus saw this indie film called Manna from Heaven several weeks ago and she said that it was really good. *She also told me that it's premiering in New York in a few days. *Does anyone know anything about this or where I may be able to find information?

Thanks in advance.
