hey all...
Well it looks like I have a job offer! I am excited about it, and I may have a second coming in next week. thing is, both are 30 miles away and not directly accessable by mass Transit. So, that means driving. My vehicle right now is a 1995 MX6 LS. It gets decent highway milage (28 mpg w/little stoppage) and it drives really tight. The thing is, it is small, not enough room for family, and the 15 years are beginning to show (less than 100K... I have only put 3K/yr on it since moving to Hoboken...). Any suggestions on good mid-range vehicles? I really like BMW, but they seem to hit the 30mpg mark and then get all silly with power (and price). The Hybrids are pretty good too, but the milage is pretty lame for a strait-run (still only in the 30's for most like the Altima or Camry.) The Civic looks pretty good, but small. Any opinions? |

Congratulations on your new job!
Believe it or not, the new 2011 Hyundai Sonata sedan is really nice. Check it out: www.hyundaiusa.com ![]() ![]() |

hey all... I can vouch for the Civic - good car - good mileage (I'm getting 30 MPG and I'm a walking handbook on how NOT to get good gas mileage). I have the 2009 EX-L. Heated leather seats are nice in the winter, and after today I can affirm its ability to handle snowy hills. Having a port to read MP3's off a USB card directly is nice too - CD changers are so 1990's. |

Thanks guys. The Hyundai looks much better than its predecessors!
New or old would work on here, although lets look at the thread title when talking about the vehicles needed ("Realistic"). I know there is a dream car thread, and it would be nice to have the $$ to afford things like that (although I would rather have the cash than the carriage), but the problem is simple. Tell me, how do you fit a car-seat in the back of those pretty pretty machines? ![]() |
