One thing New York has in common with Los Angeles is it's many famous people.
I can name a couple of famous people from our great city.
Billy Joel
Cyndi Lauper
John Travolta
Carroll O'Connor
Jean Stapleton
Denis Leary
Jerry Sienfield
Barbra Striesand
Dion Demucci(Dion & The Belmonts)
Jackie Gleason
Milton Berle
George Burns

I can also name a few TV shows,past and present,made in NY.
The Tonight Show(relocated to Hollywood in 1972)
The Ed Sullivan Show
The Milton Berle Show
The Jackie Gleason Show/The Honeymooners
Saturday Night Live
Sesame Street
The Electric Company

Are there any other famous people or TV shows from this great city that you can think of?

Kind of a pointless post. So many of Hollywood stars are form here or have passed thru here learning there trade
