I do know quite a bit about cars. More than most do through real world experience, but that doesn't mean I know everything.

When I read about the GPS limitation the article didn't mention that it was a Japan only feature.
I've lived in the assumption of gps tracked limiter. And it shouldn't be Japan only.

Well I guess we have one member who can verify this soon.

they still pop sometimes mate, and it blows the ecu

and im not knocking your purchase, its a nice car
Yeah if it goes off its new bumper, bonnet rams and ecu, costs about 5k to get fixed.

I asked about it and was told it wouldn't go off when stationary but I could just spend 50 quid and get the plug in cancellers that stop the system going off. Perfect for if you hit a cone on a track day.

As for the GPS limiter I can 100% confirm it is not on the UK or USA cars

most import jap cars in my experience are limited electronically, perhaps they are factory limited and not GPS.

mind you I'd rather be able to to over 110 mph but not actually have to.
Most of the speed limitations on cars are there because of the Tire choice. If the tires speed rating is 120mph then the speed limiter in the ECU will be 118mph or so.

My G6 GTP wasn't equiped with the Summer tire option so had the economy tire which was a 115mph rated tire. Hence my ECU was limited to 110mph.

I upgraded the tires later and flashed the ECU to remove the limiter.

MSRP $97k on Nissanusa. Geez! I thought that these thing launched at ~$80k, no?

I was going to ask about dealer markup, but being at that price I imagine that there really isn't any at all, especially with it being on the market for a few years now. Did you have to wait a few months on a waiting list and you are now just telling us, or did they just need to build it and ship it?

I would get the whole car wrapped. I would hate for a bird to poop on it. lol

So what is this going to be? Weekend car. Special day car. Daily driver?

Vspec was only on the 2009 models so no and it cost $160k for a little boost, few bits of carbon and some other random bits. Stock 2012/2013 is faster and better at half the price!

Beautiful car. Now there's only one question to ask: How well does it overclock?

You guys may be joking but this car is a crazy overclocker!

I don't want to void my warranty though so no overclocking for a change, just going to change the midpipe on the exhaust system to get a little more noise since stock it is very quiet for such a fast car.

Loving the colour fella, she looks like a real beauty.

Thanks mate

Not to mention the complete lack of rear seats.

Thanks I plan to!

Going to try and stick with the OEM Dunlops since they are really designed for the weight of the car with their stiff side walls and run flat. There are some other options though and depending on what kind of winter we have I may get some winter tyres even if they are just for better grip in the cold if we don't get much snow.

Will have full photos and I also bought a GoPro HD Hero2 MotorSport to see what kind of video I can get!

Me = V Jealous. If I sold my car, I could just about afford to buy one myself, but it would leave me with nothing.(if I bought it outright. I don't buy cars on finance) I'll stick to my 2013 I30 next year. (ALL extras)
