I get 3 years of servicing with all listed service parts (oils, filters etc) and labour included in the price.
I also got 5 tyres in 3 years puncher/damage warranty and I plan to keep the manufacture warranty intact. Running costs will be around 1200 a year insurance, 1500 for a full set of tyres (I guess one set a year minimum), 460 road tax after the first year which is included in the on the road price. Main running costs will be the fuel. As for the finance thing, for income tax reasons it works out best to do finance with this kind of money. I may buy the finance out in 12-18 months but I could just keep it for 36 months and then swap it for another new one ![]() |

I do not think you or he will like the expensives to keep it in good maintenance, however, he wants the thrill of pure fastness. If you can pay for its ok, but I am sure he likes to keep costs down too. I get 3 years of servicing with all listed service parts (oils, filters etc) and labour included in the price. |

Did I stumble into a sermon? You are reading too much into his comment. Jealousy is natural, and a comment like that is better dismissed on a forum. People use the phrase all the time. Will see how the stock tyres last but if I at least plan on a set a year it will be fine not to need them. |

True, but he is right that it should only be vaguely felt in a well adjusted person. When you start resenting people for having something you don't it's a problem. A guy in our office has these problems and it's ugly to watch. --- Post Update --- Haven't decided yet, my local circuit is http://www.snetterton.co.uk/ just down the road from me, its going to be pretty hard to stay away I think. Then there are slicks, and basically about the only tire I see people run is the Hoosier R6 for HPDE, and the A6 for autocross. A6 very short life, doesn't like sustained heat as its meant for Auto-cross. |

Okay, I don't see any resentment in his post. Its just a statement of fact. He's Jealous, its natural. Sorry I ever commented on it. Sometimes the phrase is just used as a compliment. ![]() Nice car, I have been thinking about purchasing a new car myself since the launch of the Toyota GT86 which over here is around €39,000, so i went looking around and came across some second hand 2004/05 Aston Martin DB9's for about the same price |

Thanks for the info, I will keep this in mind when I burn out my stock tyres and realise I needed something better I'd have my gts celica fully serviced for less than the cost of just an oil change of a DB9 1 litre of recommended 5w40 synth is around €15-20, and you need 10 litres for them |

Just back!
Worst rain storm I have ever driven through in this country, parts of the A11 were like a lake! Got the train down on Friday, had to snap a picture of the Olympic Stadium. ![]() Ancaster Nissan in Bromley this morning. ![]() My GT-R! ![]() ~150 Miles later at home ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() As for the car, I have no words for how much I love it, its crazy. Can't really do much until 600 miles, around 200 on the clock now and not ment to go over 3,500rpm, the engine is already run in but the gearbox, clutch and diffs need time before you can use it. Also the shocks need time to fully bed in so running COMF mode which is a little soft and bouncy at speed. Got loads of nice things given too me including the GTR Floor mats, GTR Key Ring, GTR Mug, GTR iPhone Case, GTR Rugby Shirt and a full tank of 99 ![]() Managed to get just under 30MPG on the way home so still 3/4 of that tank left ![]() Need to go and play with the onboard computer settings and then look at it some more ![]() I know the pictures are bad (4S camera in bad weather) and the car is dirty! Will try and do better tomorrow! |

Why are you on your computer!?! I would be spunking my cash and time on driving... ![]() Also run in is boring ![]() Until 300 miles (500 km): . Do not depress the accelerator pedal more than halfway and avoid rapid acceleration. . Drive with the engine speed kept at less than 3,500 RPM. . Avoid unnecessary quick steering, abrupt braking and driving on poor roads. 300 to 600 miles (500 to 1,000 km): . Avoid rapid acceleration in a low gear (1st to 3rd gears) with the accelerator pedal fully depressed. Depress the pedal slowly. . Avoid unnecessary quick steering and abrupt braking. . Drive with the suspension setup switch in the COMF mode to allow more suspension stroke. 600 to 1,200 miles (1,000 to 2,000 km): . Drive with the engine speed kept relatively high with the shift lever in the &M position. Shifting is recommended between 1st and 4th gears. . Avoid unnecessary quick steering and abrupt braking. . Drive with the suspension setup switch in the COMF |
