The URL changed, so if you visited the site via a bookmark, the site appeared down. I don't think the actual site went down though.

Maybe the old URL, which directed to the current URL, was removed?

If they put a warning in BRIGHT ORANGE TEXT would you even have noticed?

I think so. It appears to be working now. I noticed the FM home page has changed, so the forwarding url must have been temporarily down.

Yep. new Futuremark.com site went up earlier today and while it was relatively painless operation, there were some small things that required a couple of reboots.

Also if your DNS hadn't yet updated (so fm.com went to the old site), redirects could be busted until it did update. Should already be propagated everywhere...

Edit: also if you had some VERY old bookmark, pre-YouGamers which earlier redirected to forums.yougamers.com which in turn would now redirect to community.futuremark.com, those old redirects went toast with the FM.com update. But that would mean a bookmark that was.. um... 5 years old?

You mean the announcements that are hidden away in an obscure part of the forums?

I'm pretty sure it's the first sub-section of the forum. Right in your face when you go to the forums.

If you view New Posts every day, you won't miss any new thread.

But that would mean wading through a bunch of posts I'm not interested in. The first thing I do when I come here is head to GD.
