Why would people want to pay to keep this guy alive in Prison. Just execute him and be done with it. I'm all for the Death Sentence, especially in clear cut cases like this.

For ambiguous cases by all means determine if there was a murder and if it was pre-meditated, temporary insanity, or just accidental homocide such as a car accident.

But if a man walks into a theater and just starts shooting people up and there is 100% proof, don't waste the peoples money and time. Or draw it out the suffering of victims and families. Pull his plug and be done with it.

The death penalty doesn't save money, it costs money; and it isn't a deterrent. Also it's abhorrent to kill someone based on the money it would in theory save.

One more thing, you don't alleivate suffering by dispensing with the justice system that people have died and fought to protect.
