Wow, he smoked it. He is lucky that it was knocked over the car; I've heard of people getting hoofed to death when they hit deers who then get stuck in the windshield right after the collision.

During the slow motion part of the video it looks like part of the deer did not stay with the rest of it. Ooops.

That guy has some pretty damn good reflexes. In the slo-mo portion he managed to cover his face before hitting it.

Whose bright idea was it to have a track next to a wildlife park? Feel sorry for the deer and other wildlife around there. Either get big enough fencing and close it off during track/traffic and reopen gates when finished. Both public and animal safety is put at risk there. Stupid.

Who says it's a wildlife park?
Also deer hears 100 supercars going past with 120dB and decides to cross the road? >_>

How many ants have you ran over?

It's not like he was hunting the thing.

Wildlife park/reserve/park/whatever. It's clear from looking at the sides, there is some kind of farm/wildlife. There's no possible way to avoid a collision if an animal comes onto the road; a deer can be fatal to both people and itself that is out of your control if you do not control what they can do - i.e. no fencing/inadequate surrounding.

And, yes, maybe we should teach these animals the green cross code. Never realise they panic?

That doesn't look like a park to me at all.. besides you can't really build a track in the city because of all the people that will start crying because of noise.
And yes, I think an animal should use its instincts and not run towards sound or towards the place where he saw very fast objects crossing just 5sec earlier

Prey animals use instinct. Hear sound, they run. Evolution of animals hasn't given enough time for them to recognise vehicles as danger. And it's not like you can teach them. Stick a 1/2-year-old child on the side of a busy road and see if they recognise the danger of cars.

Was thinking the exact same! His visor wasn't down and he reacted very fast.

To the pleb saying you hope he gets hit, you're a ****ing donkey.

I think his visor was up and he didn't want glass and deer guts in his eyes.
