Default A Scientifically-Minded Must See!
Did anyone see Neil DeGrasse Tyson on the Daily Show yesterday?

Fantastic! Here is a link, but I can not get it to work on Chrome:

What is this, some kind of cruel joke? You tell me Dr. Tyson is on the Daily Show, and then give me a link I can't watch?

--- Post Update ---

I am determined. I have found a work around.

Holy **** just watched the interview.

Neil deGrasse Tyson has a vision most people cannot see, and he is 100% correct.

My deepest apologies, I am using a locked down OS, on locked down hardware with forced obsolesce and marketed disposability. I am lucky this junk even turns on, it is the 2010 model after all.

tldr: I thought it was just me.

He really needs to run for president. If you youtube videos of him, it's almost impossible to disagree with him on anything.

You know, I never really have much liked him. In all the shows I have seen, it always seemed as if he thought he was talking to 12 year olds. That said, I wish he was more like in the interview in the shows, as I enjoyed him here.

I'm sure that has more to do with you, than with him.

It's ok, you'll grow up some day little z.

[popcorn]

I'd vote for him too, he's my favorite brilliant person, aside from myself.

That's because most people seem to have the comprehension level we had at twelve.

While he does try to popularize astronomy and science much like Carl Sagan, read one of his books. Death By Black Hole is an excellent book to start with as it is a collection of his essays. I have never felt he tries to dumb down things too much in his books, although interviews are much more so because of the audience. Truthfully, all he is trying to do is make science interesting to even the most laymen of people.

Tyson has been on The Daily Show quite a few times already or at least I had thought he had?

Tyson also has some great interviews on Point of Inquiry (podcast/radio show):

I am not sure what you are talking about, but he was the frontrunner, not the only one though, behind downgrading Pluto to a dwarf planet/oversized comet/asteroid of the Kuiper belt.

As usual, Tyson makes a lot of great points. It's a shame that few people share his vision of the benefits of keeping the space program alive.

I couldn't agree more. It is sad that so many leaders are so short-sighted.
