According to some websites it's actually better than Siri but yeah, in reality they all pretty much suck.

It's pretty poor to be honest from what I've tried so far, more than happy with the phone apart from it being a bit plasticy, but yah, S-Voice isn't really even a novelty - It even struggles a bit with "Set timer for 1 minute", never mind the more complicated stuff.

They should sue for that, it's a total rip off.

Siri is only good when it comes to things that the iphone can do, the rest is just like using google

I cant imagine S-voice being much different.

This suing is idiotic, especially in the case of S-Voice.

They should sue for that, it's a total rip off.
You're kidding right ?

Speech recognition was on the S2 as well. Didn't hear about Apple suing Samsung then due to that feature.

Not really sure if you're trolling or just being a douche sometimes.

I think he was just being sarcastic.

Anyway, Vlingo, the software behind S-Voice has existed for years and was even available on the original Samsung Galaxy S.

To make matters even more ridiculous, the company that makes Vlingo was bought up by Nuance which is the company who is supposed to be providing services for Siri.

So basically, Apple is suing Samsung for including a voice help assistant which has been existing for years and now just got a makeover by Samsung and re-branded.

It's like Ford suing Toyota for also putting a multimedia system in their cars as well, which is even made by the same company.

Voice input was in all android devices as standard of 3.0 which is what 2 years ago??, although you didn't have some ****** talk back at you. All this Apple suing Samsung and visa versa BS is just that, BS.

Voice control in general is fecking horrible in any case and people using it in public should be shot. This includes my boss spending hours upon hours shouting at this phone "SIRI TEXT MY WIFE I LOVE YOU DARLING"

If it was sarcasm, I apologise. However, his posts generally do make it hard to know which mood he is in. Like he has bipolar or something.

Anyways, it really is hit and miss with voice recognition; to get software to understand the many different accents etc would be an amazing feat in itself.
