I guess you haven't been to Italy, or parts of Paris for that matter.

I wouldn't for a minute classify what is served in Chicago as real pizza.

Chicago style pizza is a style of pizza, not a quality of pizza. Just because you don't like it doesn't make its quality worse.

New York does in fact have the best pizza in the world. Naples, Italy comes a close second. Paris isn't even a distant third.

No idea about New York Pizza, but some places in Melbourne have great pizza, lot's of Italian's. My local cafe is owned/managed by an Italian, and the head chef is American. She worked in some 3 star places as well as personal Chef to some stars. So the food is fantastic. Plus it's always a laugh watching the owner work.
