Hi all, I'm going to Tokyo for a few days in a couple of weeks, really excited about it. I've never been before and was wondering if Japan is still the land of cheap electronics? Is there anything in particular thats significantly cheaper than it is in the UK? Was thinking along the lines of either cameras, headphones or PC stuff. Although anything of interest would be good to hear about, along with any recommendations about whats good to see and where is good to go.

It shouldn't be too bad unless things have changed, at least with consoles.

I haven't kept up with it at all, but at least before the economic crash, consoles would be slightly cheaper in Japan in US dollars than in the United States. Compared to what you guys pay for stuff over there in the UK and Europe, it would be significantly cheaper.

Though that is when I kept up with consoles so only knew consoles.


Though generally what you guys pay over there, I'd hope it would be cheaper!

The Japanese are real big on unprotected sex, they don't have a HIV issue there, but some of the smaller STD's are pretty rampant. Try not to bring one back.
