Default Facebook issue - unsolicited friends?
Anyone else having this problem? In the last few days I've had two people (neither of whom I know) become my friends on facebook, after apparently accepting friend requests I never sent them.

I've changed my password to be safe, but I'm wondering how this is possibe? Is there some kind of facebook url that can also send someone a friend request if you are logged in on FB?

Have you reported it to Facebook? Could be a bug, or something malicious.

One of them was company related. I think it might be a similar process to the url action that results in your liking something when you click on a link. From a quick google, it appears that a similar approach can be used to send a friend request to someone when you click a link (assuming of course you are already logged into FB in the same browser session).

In a similar vein, what's it with Youtube and people adding me to their 'like' list - or whatever the BS is?
I've zero desire for it, have a blank info' page and only look at it every two months or so! Is there a polite, or less polite, way to get ride of them? As I'm asking, you can assume I didn't care enough to go faffing around on the site

Are you talking about people "liking" your videos? What's the problem?

I haven't posted any videos, so that shouldn't be the case - as I understand it (and I may be wrong), these are people who will be able to follow my viewing of the videos on Youtube. If so, I DO NOT appreciate it - however, if they were people who, if I ever posted any, could 'follow' my postings, fair enough.

Liking any of your own content is gay. LazerLips is a likely candidate for doing this.

If they didn't like it, why would they post it?

I still don't know what you're on about. Are you talking about people "Like"ing your videos, or people subscribing to your videos? If it's the former, what's the fact that you've not posted anything for a while got to do with anything? All your old videos are still up there; and most people would be pleased that others had Liked their videos. If it's the latter, why you are posting videos to YouTube at all if you don't want people to subscribe to you?

Um, what? Who said anything about Liking one's own content?

Try to keep up Bungle. You said:

Are you talking about people "liking" your videos? What's the problem?

And I said that liking any of your own content is gay. I presumed that you meant "to click the like button" by putting liking in quotations. Unless you think liking is a made up word?

The extremely laggy facebook app on my phone results in me accidentally sending friend requests periodically due to slow click responses/page changes.

What phone? Everything apart from my own timeline (which is slow as f**k) works at normal speed now on iPhone 4.

Galaxy S. Seems to be an issue with the facebook app on Android 2.3 as when I had a custom 4.0 rom it was fine. Anyway, new phone arrives today so moot point [yes]

i'm beginning to see why some people have an issue with you - read this s-l-o-w-l-y...
"I haven't posted any videos, so that shouldn't be the case - as I understand it (and I may be wrong), these are people who will be able to follow my viewing of the videos on Youtube."
Perhaps i should also have clarified that last bit, by "be able to follow my viewing of the videos on Youtube" I mean the videos I may select to watch - is that what they mean by followers (can't recall the precise term and YT is refusing to load again!).

It's youtube, not youporn. Do you really care if people can see that you've watched a video of a dancing duck?

I still don't get what feature it is you're complaining about. There's "Subscribe", but that doesn't sound like what it is you're talking about.

If you go and look at someone's timeline it will say "recent activity" and things like "so and so watched this video on this website".
