Default YouGamers URL is now a piece of history
http://futuremark.yougamers.com/foru...18#post1688018

Please also be advised that while older bookmarks will direct you to the new server, the URL will be changing from futuremark.yougamers.com/forum to community.futuremark.com/forum

Got a new business manager!?

Can view the forum from work now. I could go anywhere the yougamers stuff did not pop up.
Never understood why FM basically held the stance "you shouldn't be here during work" WTF would they care!?

At my work, doing what I do, I actually surf forums often to find answers to problems related to my job.

Well it wasnt as short as that, it was "If the URL is blocked at your work, maybe you shouldnt be browsing it at work", although I get your point

I thought maybe this would be the first "Facebook like"

To be fair, that was a catastrophic marketing fail. It would be like Coca-cola saying that people shouldn't drink their products at work in case they annoyed someone. What's that? Pepsi suddenly became the number one product in the market? How did that happen? Oh yeh, we failed biblically.

Fits in nicely with FM's new policy of burning the village to save it.

It reminds me of Kindergarten. One kid does something stupid and the entire class has to suffer for it. I never understood that logic, punishing the many for the actions of the few.

Looks like they are determined to remove any element of fun from the forums (which is a shame, because the only people that come here now are ones that don't sulk over a bit of banter). I recently received and infraction for "bickering". Apparently it is that particular mods first time on the internet. Don't ask me any names, because I will not tell.

It was probably eRacer.

I'd bet my ass it was him. He pops in once a month, goes through my post history, smacks me with multiple infraction points and leaves. No explanation, nothing. Can't even defend myself since he always makes sure I get enough points to get me banned for a few days. Just like the last time.

One of them great intellectual forum contributors, isn't he.

Nice to know the admins at least listen to our ideas.

Why would anyone do that? Does he get bullied at school the day before?

Yougamers.com is not going anywhere. Just the forums switching servers and the server switch having the side effect of moving the forums to fm.com domain.

Can't say. Never posts anything except when AMD post their quarterly losses and even then it's just a link and a quote. If it wasn't for the infraction points he hands out to certain people on a regular basis you wouldn't even know he's a member on here.

edit : @ dangermoose.
