Default UKers - which broadband to get?
I'm moving house next week and I'll have the choice of anything from Sky / Virgin etc etc. I'd normally just go with Virgin fibre optic, but is there a better deal?

Unless you are moving to one of those special housing estates with 1GB internet, Virgin is the fastest. But Sky now offer 80Mbit if you have BT fibre in the area.

I have gone with the Virgin everyday package (60mb adsl, 100 plus tv channels and a phone line). I thought I was getting 60 quid back from quidco as well, but it turns out it's just for brand new subscribers and I have had Virgin before.

If you want a cable connection get Virgin. Right now, other offerings of cable from BT etc are essentially playing catch up. I am paying £19 for 100mb based on the fact I have TiVo with VM too, you should call them up and see if they can strike you a deal.

Technically, anyone who uses an underground cable is a cable supplier. Plus, as just mentioned, BT are offering fibre optic as well now.
