To be honest it doesn't matter. I do not care to debate whether he is guilty or not, since I KNOW I don't have enough information to judge. What I do know is that regardless of whether he is guilty or not, and regardless of whether he is convicted, the media has ensured that his life is ruined.

Well he has ensured that Trayvons life ended.
At one side 17 years lost his life, and other with 29 will face the court with dilemma to be freed or to go in prison.
Tragedy.

Indeed. What a media circus this has been.

They probably know a lot of things more than we do if they slapped a 2nd Degree murder charge on him.

I was expecting a manslaughter charge.

And let's not pretend that no one in here enjoys the media coverage.

I just don't like the way it's being reported like it's some kind of show or something.

Nah. Overzealous prosecutor. It's just like the Casey Anthony trial. I have no idea what runs through these people's minds when they try to go after charges that they know won't stick. What makes it even worse is that when it doesn't stick the media stirs the pot even more.

With the media being allowed to act like it does we might as well move to one of the various death games that have been portrayed in movies where the winner gets to go free and the other criminal die. Put it on TruTV. Imagine the ratings. United States of Rome. We'll need a coliseum. Except we won't even bother convicting them first. It's amazing what the media gets away with. I hope Zimmerman sues the living crap out of CNN, ABC, etc.

I agree. There was an article on yahoo that exposed all the biased crap that happened.

150k bail, but this is the big news of the day.

"In a dramatic moment during the hearing, a detective, under questioning from O'Mara, admitted that it has no clear evidence that Zimmerman attacked Trayvon Martin first."

And yet the prosecution is going for murder 2. No way Jose. Murder 2 might make the mob happy, but that is all. He's walking. I doubt they could have gotten manslaughter, but I know they won't get murder 2.

How would there ever be? How is there ever in any case? Does someone have to blog their intent or something for there to be 'clear evidence'?

You could walk up to any stranger on the street, give them a load of crap, maybe block their path and stand in their face. They shove you, you hit the deck and blow their brains our with a concealed weapon. No one can prove you attacked them first. Is this OK?

Two guys... one with a gun following one with a packet of skittles. The guy with the skittles is dead, the one with a gun barely had a scratch.

--- Post Update ---

What I do know is that regardless of whether he is guilty or not, and regardless of whether he is convicted, the media has ensured that his life is ruined.
The media ruined OJ Simpson's life too.

Zoo, you understand the prosecution will have to prove beyond a reasonable doubt exactly what happened for him to be convicted? You can make up all the conjecture you want, and not a bit of it is evidence. They have no evidence Z attacked M. Without evidence, they cannot convict M2. Maybe a very effective prosecutor could spin a yarn good enough to get manslaughter, which has much lower thresholds, but you actually need evidence for M2. All the yarn in the world won't make any difference.

Barely a scratch? Head wounds are no joking matter. You can die from a head wound that doesn't even cause bleeding. Banging someone's head into the sidewalk until it bleeds has the potential to kill someone. Stop with the skittles junk and tell it how it is, he used a concrete sidewalk in an attempt to bash in a man's head. I'd have shot him too.

Saw this:

http://www.theatlanticwire.com/natio...hooting/51370/

ABC News has just broadcast a never-before-seen photo that apparently shows blood on the back of George Zimmerman's head immediately after he shot Trayvon Martin. The photo would appear to back up Zimmerman's assertion that he fought with Martin, and that Martin slammed his head into the concrete sidewalk during the scuffle. It would also verify the police report that said Zimmerman was bleeding that night. ABC says that the photo was taken by a witness who arrived on scene after hearing the altercation and that metadata embedded in the photo confirms the time and location to be right after the February shooting.

It's just another example of an over-zealous prosecutor going after a charge that simply will not stick. Just like the Casey Anthony trial, a lesser charge would have certainly gone further with the jury to warrant a conviction.
