Default Chinese F1 Grand Prix
So qualifying is about to start.
Looks like it could be an interesting qualifying. Hamilton looks strong but will have a 5 place grid penalty if Mclaren do end up changing his gearbox. My money is on one of the mercs taking pole. I hope it's Rosberg. I hope to see another great performance by Sauber in the race as well.[thumbup]

Anyone else shocked at the level of air pollution?

Back on topic, as they should have been close to their race/qualifying trim, seems the red cars may be a little off the pace, the McLarens on it and not sure about the RBs - they could have been foxing a bit?
Whatever, I expect qualifying to be quite interesting

As an aside, anyone having issues with the www.formula1.com live timing app' for the PC?

Where did Rosberg find half a second?!
Nice one Kobayashi too.

Great result for Mercedes, that Rosberg lap was outstanding...

Now lets see if they have any race pace again though, otherwise it's McLaren vs Sauber for the win I reckon.

I'm enjoying the fact Vettel is acting like the typical German. Throwing his toys out the pram when he's not got access to God mode.

It's worth remembering Rosberg's decent 5th place effort in China last year. If it's cold then maybe it'll be Mercedes day. Of course if it's cold maybe Alonso can make an appearance on the podium again.

It's going to be a good race tomorrow, I can feel it.

Easily the best Q2 I recall seeing!
Very nice drive from Rosberg and I think it'll have a few teams wondering where it came from - not so much the pole, but the amount it was by

As for young Vettel, not surprised he's upset (and probably a bit embarrassed) but it will give him a chance to show he can actually overtake - if he doesn't go off trying too hard.
Anyway, really looking forward to tomorrow's race!

Brilliant action in these last 10 laps, and not much of it due to DRS [thumbup]

Here's hoping no one ditches it or does anything naughty...

Great race all round, especially sweet seeing Webber smoke Vettel round the outside of the hairpin!

Bad luck for MacShoe and The Raik, they were going so well. Great race nonetheless.

First pole in 57 years and now first win in 57 years!

Whew, that was quite some race - very well done by the youngster, so much for the tyre wear issue - I hope Mercedes aren't expecting too much out of their workforce tomorrow!

Sucked for Kimi - 2nd to 10th (?) in less than a lap - surprised he didn't come straight in for tyres when he'd've known they'd gone off.
I thought schumi was very relaxed about the whole wheel nut thing - he certainly seems a lot mellower than some times in the past - especially when a good result was on the cards.

Epic facepalm for Raikkonen though, 2nd to 14th..., and Vettel mugged by both McLaren drivers AND Webber on those last few laps, ouch...

Brilliant race though, shame it was spoilt (on the BBC anyway) by the dodgy repetitive commentary by Ben Edwards, getting cars mixed up and patronising us with basic things we already know (I think the average F1 viewer knows the difference between the tyres thank you very much, we don't need to be told about 20 bloody times that one is softer than the other...)

Well done to Leonardo Di Caprio for his first GP win tough, superb drive.

The bloke on Sky is always getting it wrong. They have much fewer ad breaks on the Sky coverage than I expected them to have, ie today they only had just two short breaks in the hour and a half build up, and then just one (iirc) in the post race analysis which went on until about 2 hours after the race.

As for the tyres, they have to cater for viewers who have never watched F1 before.
