Seeing as how it is 100 years ago, I don't mind! Exactly 100 years ago, Titanic was sailing towards North America.

I don't mind it.

Just watched the program about the Concordia, which was pretty good.

To have a moan about it.

I don't know what it's like over there, but here every time you turn on the TV they're always going on about it. Magazines and newspapers are doing special articles. Everywhere you look it's "Titanic this" and "Titanic that".

Now the Gibbs are getting in in the act. There was one of them on The One Show about some song they'd written to do with it, or something; I didn't take much notice.

I still get a chuckle remembering the craze over Titanic back when the movie first came out... there was such a buzz, that a handful of companies all announced they were going to build replica Titanics for cruise ships, blah blah blah, drummed up a bunch of investors, blah blah blah.

And WHERE are they now? Oh yes, the same place Kate Winslet's career would be had she not shown her b00bies! [rip]

I've been sick of it since JC shot the damn movie. People could have gave a rat's butt about the sinking before that movie came out, now it's some sort of 'thing' due to that work of fiction. I've visited the graves in Halifax, but that was years before the movie brought any attention to the tragedy, the poor guys grave that shares a similar name to DiCaprio's character, yeesh, let the dead rest.

Been sick of Titanic since the movie Titanic was released. Still remember going to see that tripe amidst all its praise only to go stare at a pos in a uber crowded hormonal theater.

**** Titanic, all those old people who were on it are dead - some rich aholes are eventually going to excavate the valuables hopefully putting an end to this infatuation.

Yeah great, because of all that Titanic hype my new gf wants to see the movie - in the theatre - in 3D! It'll make me puke for sure. I'll guess I'll have to watch this movie afterwards to recover:

No way should the ending ended more happy, it was the sinking of the Titanic FFS!

and imo the movie should have began with DiCaprio dying, I wouldn't have had to endure his annoying character throughout the whole movie then [thumbsup]

Fantastic story, incredible ship, love it. film wise, badly flawed and like Avatar, Cameron's most overated films BUT just the story is that good, you can bare the acting.
