So, if you going to be here for like a week. I suggest getting the "7-Day Unlimited Pass" $29. Good for unlimited subway and local bus rides until midnight, 7 days from day of first use. Do not use it on the Express bus. Since, Express bus ride cost more. Tho, I think you will be using the subway a lot. (You could use the Metro Card every.... 15mins for the unlimited rides. This is to prevent people abusing the unlimited ride Metro Card.)

High chance you will be using a ATM machine to buy your MetroCard:
