I like the new trailer, don't like the new name. "Avengers Assemble"? Meh. I'm sure they changed it in anticipation of sequels.

Still looks good though.

Good trailor but major worries for the film. Iron Man films, great... both of them. I'm a Hulk fan because it's got a great story however, it's THOR and Captain America that worry me as both films were appalling especially the Captain America character who basically is **** . Thor kind of looksa little out of place there in that film or is it just me? I mean he's not actually human as such... and he's mixing it with this lot... kinda just feels weird...

Who knows they may produce something good BUT I've got this horrible feeling this could turn into just a
BANG BANG BANG fest like Transformers and bore everyone with more than 1 braincell for 2+hrs. lets wait and see, although seeing all those characters did look awesome in the film. Also, who's the tool with the bow and arrow... bow and arrows don't work in films where uyou have proper warriors lol Hawkeye... Mmmmm... like Orlando in LOTR, he was a spaz.

I quite enjoyed Captain America and Thor, what's not to like about Nazi villains and dimensional jumping Asgardian gods?

Oh, and Captain America may be 'human' but he could go toe to toe with any of the other characters, no sweat!, epic reflexes and defensive abilities [thumbup]

Looking forward to it, have enjoyed the films leading upto it including Thor and Captain America. But Thor surely is out there on his own super power wise, he is actually a mythical god the rest are just somewhat enhanced.

I'd like to add that this is being directed by Joss Whedon, who was the mind behind Firefly, Serenity, Buffy the Vampire Slayer, and Dr. Horrible's Sing-Along Blog. He's a master at creating completely believable and well balanced ensemble casts, which should lend well to Avengers Assemble.

Avengers Assemble is actually only used in European countries. In the US, it's still The Avengers.

If you read my link above, you'll notice it has changed for the UK release.

I'm glad to hear this because the trailer does not instill me with confidence. Whedon is great at character development and long story arcs, but this looks like your bog-standard action superhero movie we've seen a million times before. (Granted, it is a trailer.)

I'm not surprised at all that the antagonist for the film is Loki. They hinted at it at the end of Thor.

As for being excited for this movie?

Consider the tickets purchased already.

Is that a tepid optimism I detect in your post? [xmasshocked]
