I've known this was coming for some time - zeddoo and I have had a bit of drunken conversation about them over the years. However I did not expect to be reading about their invention so soon.... I figured contact lens HUD/TV would be unveiled maybe 8 years from now. But they've already been invented. This was much sooner than I expected. The Singularity is near? I guess we'll find out... |

It's (the newest one) wirelessly powered but has to be within feet of the power source. I hope people wake up and get their heads around this digital tech boom we're riding before it makes privacy obsolete[surrender] |

The fact that they've created a wireless model says to me that we'll probably see these on the market in 4-6 years time. Before you know it everyone will be running around with their cool kid recorder/zoom LED contact lenses running the latest android cyborg/ios systems... and then things get really crazy. -invent a viable wireless electricity source -overcome single LED limit -invent some kind of thin, transparent, flexible ram/nano-processors -invent some kind of thin, transparent, flexible recording device All this and keep in mind HMD (head mounted display) technology has been around for DECADES and has literally gone nowhere due to lack of interest. (Though I hope the new Sony HMZ-T1 will start to change that). |

I dunno where you're living but no. To quote engadget "they can only display a single light-emitting diode at a time". Also I was incorrect, it is centimeters not feet. To get anywhere near what you are describing in 4-6 years they need to: |
