I've always wanted to ask this. I know college students are usually leftist in the US, but does this apply to the Ivy League schools? I wouldn't be surprised if they were filled with people like HC instead. This report shows that they're anti-war, so now I doubt that. Poor whites are the conservatives. |

Ivy leagues are some of the most liberal universities in the country if I recall correctly. The more conservative universities are usually the ones with work-study/co-op programs apparently. ![]() |

The most conservative universities tend to be the religious ones. Harvard also seemed rather conservative to me. At least compared to Yale. The fact of the matter is that ivy leagues don't represent the nation as a whole so there will be distortions. An average public university would do a better job at representing the national (or at least local from whence the student population is drawn) outlook than an Ivy League school would. |
