First four episodes of new BSG series 3. With the Iraq occupation still raging, US TV is treated to an overt comment on the war by a popular TV show in which the good guys respond to occupation by becoming suicide bombers attacking the new regime's police recruits.

Sod tripe for kids like Babylon 5. That's the sort of thing TV was made for.

And HC liked that show?

That just shows you how stupid that show is. Aren't the enemy of the good guys a bunch of robots?

How the hell are terrorist tactics supposed to work on robots?

She was hot, but there should have been some hot lesbian stuff with that T(h?)alia Winters girl later in the show. Too bad the Psi Corps spoiled everything
Ivanova was so not hot.

I like B5 a lot though.
But BSG totally blows it out of the water.

Sheridan had a lot of good lines, and I think he mauled them all. But he was still better than Delenn, who talked in a monotone for 5 straight seasons. I thought the Doc was okay, its just that his character wasn't too interesting.

Now that I think back on it, Londo is probably more deserving of the "carrying the show" epitaph simply because he was more directly involved in the plot and had more screen time than G'kar. G'kar was brilliant though.

I know what happens in the Battlestar Galactica ending. They find Earth and are the ancestors of modern day humans which is odd because I swore they were existing contemporaneously with us.

Oh and the concept of space-faring humans (call them Atlanteans) coming to Earth and founding our species... ripped it off of Stargate. Suck it.

It's a theory that's been around since Sumerian times. Were you grown in a petri dish?

Hmm, I'll have to look up that one movie where she did full frontal nudity. I think that might change your mind.

And her "my name is ........" speech improved my opinion of her acting skills

So for me the top five were also

Londo Mollari(Peter Jurasik..........Carried the show
G'kar(Andreas Katsulas)..............A great counter to Londo and kept the show interesting
Vir Cotto(Stephen Furst)............Very Good Only ahead of Dole because of his famous wave at the head on a pole
Michael Garibaldi(Jerry Dole)........Very Good
Susan Ivanova(Claudia Christion)..I thought she was hot. and except for Dole the only one on the command staff that could deliver a line.

And yes, take
Lenneir and Delenn out and shoot them along with Sheridan.

I liked Talia more than Susan, but maybe that's just because of my thing for redheads.
You mean Lyta, and redheads

B5 is quite a good Sci-Fi show.

BSG is one of the best TV shows of all time.

DS9 was on at around the same time (a rip off?), both had their moments, DS9 better produced, B5 better themes (generalisations ahoy).
