I have been trying to get my 15 year old son to play golf for the last 3 years. He has a lot of natural athleticism, but he always preferred X-games type stuff. Finally got him to try golf this year. He isn't a big kid, 5'5, 140#, but he is pretty strong. He has played exactly 4 rounds with me, including 3 in the group I play in, and he is hooked! Yesterday we played Springwood in York, Pa. and #4 is a downhill 289 yard par 4, with a small green, creek in front and woods to each side and back. I tried to drive it, but faded a bit too much, and landed safe, just short of the creek. He gets up with his new Cobra amp ( courtesy of me! ) and hits a bee bee 15 ' pin high left! He missed the eagle putt, but made the birdie! I think i was more excited than he was lol! Sadly, he struggled for a lot of the round, but that was his first birdie, and no one can take that away!
