Thanks for the kind words guys. We lost our #1 player from last year, but returned 4 starters. These guys have just been getting after it and working hard on the swing changes and course managment we are working on and I am seeing the scores drop.
We had a match on Tuesday (a tri-match) We shot a team score of 163. The other 2 schools shot 160, and 167 so we didn't do too bad. We have a match out here at our home course tonight against a very solid school. I will get the results up here asap after the round. Next week is a busy week for us...we have matches Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday. 2 of them are tri-matches and one is head to head. Thanks again and I will keep you updated. |

Does your school have cuts, or does everyone who wants to play get to play? |

Our match on Thursday was rough. We had a couple of big mental mistakes that cost us a bunch. My guys got beat with a final score of 158 to 173. I don't know how to begin to discribe it so I will just leave it at that.
I hope my guys have short memories because we have 3 big matches next week and we need to play well in all of them. |

Tough to swallow for sure and very frustrating. Chances are they will do better next time, but the mental mistakes do not disappear easily if at all. Your more committed players will recover, but I see ones that just play (seasonal players, not year round players) continue to brain fart to some degree all four years.
GL next week! Hope they get off to a great start and roll through each match.. When is your district/regional? |

Hey guys,
I thought I would give you an update on the team so far this season. We played in a 24 team invitational to start the season. Last year we finished 22 out of 24...This year we placed 9 out of 24. That is a big step in the right direction. We played a district match last week, and struggled bringing it to the house. Holes 8 and 9 out here are difficult and it ate up a number of the guys on my team. We posted a team score of 164. Not bad for the first official event of the season. Now is when we get busy...over the next 4 weeks we will have a match every Tuesday and Thursday. I think we just might suprise some teams this year! Coach amollerud |

Grats! Keep us posted as the season unfolds... I am in the same boat on two different levels. We graduated one of our best players on the girls team which has set us back a little (defending state team champs, and individual state champ), but our boys team have drastically improved over last year. They are looking great and have a good chance to qualify for the state tournament.

Man!
Those kids have got to be pretty lucky to have a coach like you. I am not surprised that your team has made such big strides after a full season/off season under you. Out of curiosity- is the improvement because of new talent that has come to the team, or is it mostly due to returning players maximizing their potential? Hey guys, |
