Gotta give Tiger some credit here as after a 3 over 3rd round, comes back w/ another 67 to finish 3rd. only two off the lead. The next test is to see if he can repeat that or come close his next time out.
Actually, the next test is the President's Cup. Lotta pressure on Tiger and Freddy Couples.

yeah, I just looked that up. A bit different than preparing for a tournament. In some ways it may help Tiger that is is a team event w/ him getting support and not having it all be on him. Will be interesting to see how Freddy uses him.

First three time winner on tour this year.

Bo blew it when he missed the green on the par 5 16th from 220 yards out. If he makes birdie there I think he wins, but the deflating bogie took him out of it mentally. Tiger just wears these guys out when given the chance.

Anybody else seeing this?
If you didn't, make sure you see the highlights.

Good thing Nantz is off camera for commentary. His man crush for Eldrick makes audio useless.

Sweetly ironic that Tiger ties Jack w/ PGA Tour wins @ 73. Now only 9 behind Sam Snead for the most all time.

I was watching replays of the second round on Friday night between the Phillies starts and stops and it was clear that Tiger had it going. The main thing I noticed was his demeanor when he hit some bad shots and had to regroup. He didn't act childish and moved on. Today, he just didn't hit bad shots.

He can send me a cut for not starting him this week in Fantasy. though I got a nice # from Graeme McDowell w/ his 9 under for the lead so far.

I don't expect Tiger to have any problems with his achilles tendon now that he has a share of the lead.

No doubt about it now, and no one can say this was a tournament w/ little competition. He has played a lot of golf this week - a practice round on Sunday @ Augusta and then some kind of team tourney called the Tavistock cup earlier this week - and it will be interesting to see how he recovers from that. I guess he will take some time of before the Masters.

Too bad that McDowell never put any pressure on Tiger today, as it would have been interesting to see how would react. Otherwise, he hit a lot of solid shots and shot under par in conditions that made it very difficult. I'd say he's back and is going to be one of the favorites at the Masters.

Tiger shot a 62 today that could have just as easily been a 59. I don't think he missed a shot all day and had an aggressive eagle on 18 for the lead in the clubhouse. Rory 2 shots up heading into the Bear Trap after an awesome up-and-dpwn for par on 14.

Tiger's 62 was the best Sunday score of his career, but it wasn't enough.
Rory had to make some serious up-and-downs down the stretch to hold off Tiger and earned the #1 World Ranking with his win today.

Good for Rory. I'm very happy to see the kid get to the top. This should be a fun season in the PGA.
