Shot 82 and only made one putt all day. Pretty happy with that since I hadn't played in quite a while. My little punch shot is working out good.

most of our snow melted off over the past few days, so I'm hopeful that if we have any more 50-ish degree days, Ceceilias will open up. It's a garbage course, but beggars can't be choosers for January golf in Wisconsin.

Im going to try and get out next week. Its supposed to be in the mid to high 40s and we have not had any snow on the ground this year. I have a couple more houses to do Monday and Tuesday so maybe later in the week.

81 today, lowest round since fall of 2009. Last year was a complete disaster and I hadn't been able to get it together yet this year as well. It could have been even better but the putter killed me, as I missed 3 birdies inside 12 feet and three-putted twice. I also popped up a drive on a 450 yard hole and made a 6, but otherwise drove it great. I can't wait until the next round, but tomorrow looks like a washout.

Well, tomorrow will be my first competitive tournament round of 2011. My partner and I are going to attempt qualifying for the better-ball tournament at our club, if the weather cooperates. I have no idea what game will surface. At least lately I've been hitting it better. The putts just have to fall.

Probably the most bizarre round I have ever played in my life.

I had 9 pars and shot fucking 90!! When I make 9 pars I am usually challenging 80. 18 over on the other 9 holes. My short game was ridiculous. I was shanking and chunking chips and making double bogeys from around the green. I made two triples with balls in the water on short shots. On one par 5, I layed up to 130 yards so I wouldn't have to hit one of my wedges and hit my 9-iron to four feet. Of course, missed the birdie putt.

Fortunately, my partner and I ham-and-egged it pretty well and we both went south on only one hole. I'm pretty sure we will qualify for the match play. Gotta get to the short game range this weekend.

I wish I could figure out a way to get more length off the tee. I played in a Shamble recently (use the longest drive in the foursome and play your own ball in from there) and shot a 75. I played very well (we used my tee ball about 6 times, including every par 3) but I was generally hitting my second shot way past where I can hit it.
We won the thing easy. Got a new Odyssey White Hot putter, although I love the one I have already. I'll probably trade it in for a wedge.
