I can never understand why scrambles are so much slower. Whenever I play the guy with the errant shot says screw it and doesn't spend a lot of time looking for a lost ball. Of course there is a meeting before every shot, that may be part of it. And of course you were only 2 playing behind a bunch of 4's.

Default This is frustrating
My wife and I get a tee time and which ends up being at the tail end of a tournement.

Ever get behind four groups of eight people playing a scramble?

The last eightsom (if that's a word), was on hole 6 when we teed off. We caught them on 8 and waited several minutes for them to hit their second shot.

Got tired of waiting and circled back and played 6 and 7 again then went back to 8...and we waited.

Should have jumped, but had a slim chance of breaking 40 so I wanted to see if I could do it....I coudn't. On the ninth hole my second shot on a par five, ended up behind a tree next to the green, I had to chip out before getting on the green. Ended up with a bogie and a 41.
