Default Has anyone been to the masters?
I'm looking to go to a practice round or two this year since it's only 3 hours from where i work...during the week.

Anyone been? Know where I can get tix?

practice rounds tickets are done by application over a year in advance. so for this years, you had to apply in 2006. no guarantee to get it since the tickets are limited. choosen randomly. they notify you if you get, dont notify if you dont.

as for the tourney, you're pretty much fucked unless you know someone thru work. they had a waiting list that opened in 2000 that is now closed. they dont accept anyone right now. waiting list is still too long. we're talking decades long.

In practice rounds, yes. Not during the tournament.

It's very interesting. A lot more access all over the golf course. I went to a practice round on a Wednesday and the first round on a Thursday (a co-worker's family has seasons badges). You have a lot of access to the players during the practice rounds. During the regular rounds, they are a little pre-occupied.
Make sure that you walk the entire course. The elevation changes are startling and something that you just can't see on TV. Some of the greens are ridiculous, like 14. It'll give you a renewed appreciation for Augusta.
