The indian has to have some skill, of course. A good player can work with most equipment. However, once a good, consistent swing is developed, the right arrows can certainly enhance someone's game.

I think it's important to match the arrow to the indian. But if choosing just one, I believe the indian is more important. Jason Dufner could probably swing $100 walmart clubs and play better than I could with the same clubs.

The Indian much more than most golfers would like to believe. New drivers do not make you hit it farther, yet I still buy a new one every year!! Very few golfers have been fit for all clubs, including their putters, properly. My guess is most on this board have been fit, but we are a select group!

Driver/wood and shaft technology have advanced a great deal, but I still see most golfers playing too little loft with too stiff of a shaft. Being fit properly for loft and lie are important as well, but iron technology has advanced very little since the Ping Eye 2's. I have a lot of buddies that get new irons every few years but have never been fit properly and have certainly never owned a putter that fit them.

It's all relative to me. Each golfer has a view of their talent level that they perceive and then there is reality. Is there improvement with certain clubs, sure, but it's not gong to take you far with out some level of skill or commitment to build that skill. So that being said its always the 'Indian' and the 'arrow' will showcase their skill level and talent or lack there of.

You can't buy Indians so it better be the arrows.

As most in the thread have said, it's the Indian.

Its most certainly the Indian but you need good arrows. Now that I have a bag full of custom fit golf clubs that I love, I'm not planning on making any changes to my setup for quite some time. I think a lot of people hurt their scores by constantly changing equipment looking to get better, when practice and sticking with the same sticks would be more beneficial.
Great point CB, it's primarily the Indian but they have to have arrows made for them.

I like what Freddie Couples said a few months back when an amateur said if he had the opportunity of having hand made clubs like Freddie he would play better , And Freddie said he would play him with the Amateurs off the rack sticks and still whip his butt !
Fitted clubs make the average golfer better, but NOTHING we do can compare in any way with the skills of even the average pro golfer!

It's absolutely the Indian!

The indian is pretty terrible but some arrows seem to work for him.

I hit nike balls best. Regardless of WHAT nike ball. Maybe its the Swoosh.
admittedly, i havn't tried the lady balls. I've played many other brands balls, though, and i cant get comfortable with them.
