Default Alberta Get Together?
After a few PM's to RenRen89 I was thinking it may be fun to see if we can do an Alberta get together somewhere about the end of July.

Anyone interested?

Absolutly I'm in. July 28 and Aug 4 I'm already booked up with other things so July 29 works or the weekend before I think it's July 21/22. Where are you thinking Edmonton and Lethbridge are a little way's away.

what part of the city?

I would almost prefer if we golfed in the south of the city. Maybe something like Maple Ridge? Although I know with a city course you have to book it by 6 am 4 days in advance or chances of getting a tee time are very slim

What about D'arcy ranch. I would even be willing to go to the Bridges at Claresholm.

You guys figure out a place and I can make it Thursday. I will have to give up my tee time at Silvertip but I am sure I can book for another day.

My wife is booking Silvertip for a different day, so I can get out with you guys on the 26th. That day works better than Friday (Banff Springs).

Obviously Claresholm would be my preference but it is an hour and a half south of Calgary so I'm not sure if Tedfroop would want to go all that way, but if he does I wouldn't mind playing it. Haven't played it before but it looks nice enough. Plus I can play it for $20 with my reciprocal membership

If that's too far I'd probably leave the choice up to you. After all you know the area best

I can get anywhere you guys want to go. Claresholm looks good to me. Especially since I re-booked Silvertip for Saturday.

Have you played the Bridges at Claresholm?

jw if you have a comparison vs Nanton.

The Nanton course looks a lot easier than the Bridges especially with a lot less water. About the same price though and looking at the tee sheet just have to wonder how well maintained it is with as many empty spots

Very well maintained. Greens are awesome! Played there yesterday. If you want a good tough links style course try speargrass
