The Morgan Cup is a special event that THP considers the Ultimate Amateur Golf Event. This year 24 golfers are headed to Myrtle Beach to battle it out in a 3 team match play weekend and in the end, only one will hoist the coveted trophy above their heads and be able to call themselves champions. All 24 golfers have a 14 club staff deal, as well as apparel scripting and more. This is the tour professional weekend like no other and it will be shared with the world.

Last year, you viewed the Morgan Cup live, as it happened and we think the team put together to pull that off did an exceptional job at making sure that you could follow along with scoring, interviews and golf as it was going on. This year however, there are some changes and THP is pretty excited about what is in store for everybody.

Media Day
Friday July 27th
This is live from 9am to 4pm EST.
Watch as players cut promotional videos for their sponsor.
Interviews about the upcoming weekend of golf.
Showcase WITB videos detailing their entire staff bag.
And so much more.

The Media Day will have a live webcam set up the entire day and you will get a behind the scenes look at everything that is going on in Myrtle Beach as it happens. There will be a forum thread dedicated to the coverage and it will be monitored by THP Staff to ensure questions get answered and you are involved.

The Tournament
Saturday July 28th - Sunday July 29th
Last year the golf was broadcasted live on THP and was enjoyed by over 100,000 people that tuned in to see it over the course of the weekend. However this year THP wanted to add a little something to the broadcast and to the participants and because of that the golf will be "tape delayed" and shown on the home page Monday & Tuesday. This means all scores will be "a secret" until the event has been aired in its entirety.

There are two reasons for the delay. First, we want to make sure that you get to see a more complete event and more coverage than ever before. Second, we want the participants to be able to view the coverage as well as this is a very special weekend for them.

With that being said, Monday will have coverage of all of the Saturday team event golf and Tuesday will have full coverage of the singles play from Sunday.

All coverage will be complete with scoring, interviews and on the course action.

Wow, I had no idea about everything being a secret until Monday and Tuesday! Guess I won't be posting much that weekend, ha.

I remember watching all of the participants cut their promo videos last year and it was really cool to watch as they all enjoyed themselves, absolutely honored to be able to do that this year and very much looking forward to it.

I think the tape delay will really make this better for everybody in so many ways. Not as many people can spend time on the forum on the weekends and it will all be polished up for the best presentation.

Cookie, while we will have lots of extra videos and stuff to show, the actual coverage is done via stream, so it will not be available after that.
