Vaseline or chapstick cuts down the amount of spin off the driver. It is supposed to significantly cut down a hook or a slice. It's an old gamblers trick. The downside is it cuts down on distance as well.

This was him to a tee. He has a good swing but a slight OTT move. On his worst wipes across the ball, it would still go pretty darn straight. He's an excellent athlete, before gettin' busted, I just figured he timed it perfectly with quick hands at impact.

He's shorter than his SS would indicate and he lubes up all of his clubfaces, as far as I could tell.
