Back when I was younger and lifted weights a lot, I always found that somehow when my arms/chest/shoulder were sore, I always played surprisingly well. I remember when I took a break from the gym then went back in for my first work. The next day I had that infamous soreness from my first workout back. I decided to play 9 with my cousin anyway and I somehow hit all 9 greens in reg.

I think sore legs, or tired legs, would be an entirely different story. But for me, upper body soreness just helps me to keep things tight and compact.
