Default Solo or group?
Alright who prefers to play a round solo or with a group? I find I concentrate the most by myself but I enjoy playing with friends so much more. It seems to go 2 ways tho. It's either I do really well because they are (feeding off eachother kinda thing) or I just lose my head and do awful. Any thoughts?

I prefer to play with THPers. As often as possible.

I like both. Solo rounds are great when I really want to work on my game. I enjoy casual games with friends where I can drop a few balls and play as well. And then I also enjoy some (cheap) money games against friends where the competitive juices get going a little bit.

Solo for the exercise when the course is not crowded but I prefer company. Threesomes are great for serious tournament competition. I like foursomes for two man teams, maybe a four-ball or perhaps a foursome match (alternating shot)

I always prefer to play with friends. If that is not an option and the course is not crowded I play alone, if its crowded I have no problem being paired up with others. I will say I flat out hate slow play and if I am paired and they are slow, bye bye.

Yeah slow play drives me nuts. Luckily my courses aren't too crowded until the weekend so if I go in the afternoon on a weekday it's fine. JB we gotta get a THP stop further up north. If I wasnt do far away from AC I'd make the trip. I'm sure it's a blast

All my rounds so far have been with friends, but I am going to try and get out this week by myself so I can concentrate and work on my game a little more.

Figured there could be a happy medium...... I was under the impression there were a lot of THPers in NY and new England area so a stop wouldnt be out of the question

Agreed! You have to try and make it to an outing or a Van Stop! I simply cannot wait for the Des Moines TV stop.

I usually play alone. I would love to play with my brothers every time, but they are 3 hrs north of me.

I have little interest in playing alone. Golf to me is a social game.

I kind of thought that is what the AC stop was. Ya never know what we plan in the future though and of course there is always the 2013 Ultimate Weekend of Golf in FL.

I prefer to play in a group, whether it's one, two or three other people doesn't matter. I'll go out alone, but it's always nice to have an extra set of eyes to find the ball.

Advantages to both.

Solo: I can drop a few extra balls and practice shots, bunkers, putts, etc.

Group: more enjoyable, always laughing, little competition, etc

With that said, playing with other THP'ers is the best. Luckily, I am doing that multiple times this year - just awesome playing with others that share a real love for the game and this forum.

Hate playing alone but will do it every now and then when working on something. Agree with the THP'ers golf group...always awesome!

I only ever play solo or with my bro-in-law, except for the TX THP outing... That was a blast!

Still looking for others near me to play with. So far no luck.

I prefer to play with friends but I will play solo if I can't find anyone to play with.

I golf with customers most of the time.
It's solo, or with one of my sons. It's hard to pin down times with being on the road to much.
