One thing that I certainly appreciate about certain celebrities is their willingness to speak their minds. In this world of political correctness it is great when we are able to hear the true thoughts and feelings of those we admire. Tonight on Feherty the issue of Fuzzy's comments on Tiger serving fried chicken and collard greens was discussed and I must state that while Feherty attempted to defend Fuzzy I believe even more damage was done. Fuzzy basically stated that following the incident he was more careful about who he made certain statements around and blamed the media for taking his comments out of context. Fuzzy blaming the media further goes to show that he still doesn't not understand the ignorance of his comments which is extremely disappointing. I certainly don't believe that Fuzzy is a racist but he is definitely insensitive toward blacks. I hate to beat a dead horse however I felt the need go release my thoughts.

Yeah, I agree. I'm Black, but I am usually the last person to scream racism or to call someone a racist. I don't know what Zoeller believes. However, he was trying to make a joke that didn't come off right. I hate political correctness, too, but the comments were definitely racially insensative. But Feherty just made it worse trying to defend him, because it showed that Fuzzy really didn't understand what all the fuss was about.

Just watched the show on DVR last night. I agree it was handled poorly by both and a much better take would have been big mistake, insensitive, deserved criticism & regret my words. If Feherty wanted to defend Fuzzy's character a bit that would have been a good time to talk about the charity work, committed to community, good husband & father etc. etc.
I did enjoy the inside bit about the Fuzzy & Tiger meeting after the incident and how Tiger stuck the needle in pretty hard with his lunch order. Had never heard that before. Honestly was expecting a much more humerous & entertaining show with these two. Didn't really work out that way and Fuzzy came off as having a pretty large ego. Probably why he has a hard time owning his issues with the Tiger comments. |

I have an honest and genuine question to the above. Would you feel that way if Daniel Tosh had said the same thing on his TV show? All in all, it was a joke that just went too far, he's apologized to Tiger, and he's presumably got past it...but I agree that Feherty didn't do him any favors bringing it up again. |
