I have 2 holes on Legacy Golf Links near Pinehurst that are my "nemesis" holes every summer when my group goes down for our trip.
The first is the par 4 8th. The fairway is narrow and runs out at about 225 to a steep drop into a waste bunker. I've come to it around par several times only to tense up and try to guide my tee ball out there and hook it into the woods instead. I got that hole this year though with a par (lipped out my birdie putt). The second is the par 3 17th which from the white tees where the group plays is only around 130. Should be a straightforward wedge or 9 iron, but I chunk it in the pond short of the green every time. I did it again this year and it cost me another round in the 70s. I badly want to take a bag of balls to that tee just to try to get beyond it. Sent via Tapatalk on Android |
