Default Dragging vs releasing
I know that every swing requires a bit of both but do you predominantly make an effort to hold off and "drag" your clubs through impact or do you make an effort to really turn it over?

me personally, I focus on the rotation of my hips and the hands naturally follow. If I don't focus on my hips I end up slicing everything because I'm not throwing my hands at the ball, but when my hips rotate properly, the Hans go naturally.

I have to hold on to my wrists with everything I have or else I throw the ball way out right and it comes screaming back into play. If I hold all the way through then I get a nice small draw. Fades or cuts are out of the question completely, regardless but I'm working on em. I guess I'm a dragger.

For me, i believe both are important, and i have to find a balance between the left arm swing speed and the power/speed with which you can release.

For me this is mostly a matter of squaring the club. Focusing on dragging with the left / releasing/rotating over with the right will make me fade/slice or hook/draw the ball.
Once i've made a conscious effort in either direction, it's hard for me to get back and "just swing".

Basically my swing thoughts as well. But I don't think of my hands as German

The less conscious movements with the hands the better. I just turn

to me dragging, is not releasing. Working with a pro really help me releasing that I was dragging-or holding the club all the way down and after impact I never released. my ball flight was a low fade and after some good work, I realized that I had to do a better job at releasing the club and finally i started to play much better

If hands or wrists are on my mind, I'm out to right field. I try to focus on right hip or right shoulder turn and the rest happens.

yeah Ive taken my wrists out of play and quieted my lower body and now I'm able to swing around my body correctly and release properly.

Especially the right hand (left if a left hander). That back hand getting too strong will ruin a good swing otherwise. I keep my hands neutral, neutral grip, neutral pressure, my best swings are made when my shoulders, arms, hands, club, all feel pretty firm like they are all just an extension of the golf club. One piece moving through the ball, not a bunch of different feel points, flex points or whatever involved, hard to explain. My hands and arms just become like part of the club and the club follows along exactly where I want it to go. When I am off my game that feel is missing, I notice my hands, arms, where my wrists are during the swing, and the club feels weird and like it is going to go wherever it wants to not where I want it to.

If I make a concerted effort to "turn it over" I will hook it every time. I've never considered it "draggin" but since those are the choices, I suppose I'm a dragger.

If I feel like I'm dragging the club through impact I get a straight shot. If I don't try to drag but don't attempt to release either and just let it flow then I get a draw. Nothing will produce a fade for me though. I have literally tried to actually reverse releasing my hands to get the ball too fade but all that did was result in a cold hard shank.

Just lunge at the ball like you are doing the electric slide. Works for me 100% of the time.

Dragging, I suppose. Clubhead square for a longer period of time = win.
