Default Which hand is your glove on?
I'm a right hander. I picked up a right hand glove a while back and have been wearing it on my right hand with no glove on my left hand. Does anyone else wear it that way? Most everyone I see wears there glove on the left hand. Why is that?

The top hand on the club (the left for a right handed golfer with a normal grip) really drives the swing, so most people wear a glove on that hand to make sure the club doesn't turn in that hand.

I'm a right handed golfer and I use a glove on my left hand since it makes direct contact with my grip. My buddy though uses both gloves.

While I was playing Saturday I noticed a few guys with it on the right hand... I guess it probably doesn't matter. What ever works for you. I still have some left hand gloves but I honestly couldnt tell a difference in my swing or anything.

I'm a right hander and I go with the traditional left handed glove. When I'm swinging well, that's where all my grip is needed.

I wear a glove on both hands because I have always had a problem with the club spinning if I didn't (incredibly sweaty hands at all times). I have started really focusing on improving my golf game this season (used to get lucky to break 100, then was shooting low-to-mid 90's fairly consistently, and this season I've shot 83 and 85 my last two rounds) and part of what I am focusing on more now is my grip and having a "weaker" right-hand on the club. I am going to try to get rid of the right-hand glove to encourage a weaker right hand with a proper grip.

So do you think with the glove on the left hand it promotes a lighter grip with the hand that doesn't have a glove? I feel the opposite. The glove makes me grip less with that hand that has a glove. Granted I'm a beginner so I could be doing other things wrong which is causing that feel. Whith that statement I should have less grip pressure all around if I used two gloves. However I don't think I will do that.

The same here: left hand glove only.

I'm not really sure yet as I haven't tried it out. I feel like I grip pretty hard with the gloves on and I'm wondering if having the glove off of my right hand will promote more of a "feel" grip and give me some touch. I've always had the spinning club problem and I feel like that makes me grip the snot out of the club now and I'm trying to get away from that.

RH golfer, LH glove. I'm surprised to read here righties wearing the glove on the right. Only time I saw it was one guy wearing two. Doesn't matter either way, whatever works.

So how many guys started wearing a glove on the left hand because that's what the pros do?im all for whatever works for you. So why wouldnt you try one on the right? I don't know if I'll stick with the glove on the right hand. I'm just curious is all.

All of my early habits were influence by the people that got me interested in playing golf. Until that happened, I couldn't stand to watch golf on TV as I couldn't really connect to the game. At that point, almost nothing was influenced by what the pros did.

Now, however....

I'm a righty, glove is on the left hand.

Would be pretty odd to see it the other way around, but if it works for you man...do it!

I use gloves on both hands. I've worked a lot on my grip (both alignment and pressure), but still prefer the extra protection from the gloves. Wear gloves and I can easily hit 200+ balls with no blistering, etc.. Without gloves, and I'll have torn up hands after about 50 balls.

I actually wear the gloves while putting as well. I really don't notice any difference.

The last two times out for me i actually wore gloves on both hands. The grips on my irons and driver have been tearing up the top part of the index finger on my left hand (i'm left handed). With a glove on both i can play the entire day without pain or rubbing. I take them off for putting though (and drinking beer).
