I was going to post this same question. I've never had lessons and have no idea what my swing looks like. I visited the golftec in East Brunswick a couple of weeks back just to check out some hybrids. I also work in the next town over from you Little Charlie. Maybe we can get toether for a round at Spooky Brook or Quail Brook after work sometime.

Getting back into the game after about 20 years and want to start right. Been out at the the range and played a few rounds, not bad, but I don't want to learn the wrong swing.

With the wealth of knowlege on this site, just wanted to know if anyone has taken a lesson with an instructor in my neck of the woods that they were happy with.

Thank you,

Love this site!

Hey little charlie, I grew up in Hillsborough. Have you tried calling Royce Brook yet? They have a great academy and its only about 10mins from your house. It was rated one of the top 25 academies in the country.

Ah yes, good old spooky brook. I haven't heard that name in years. Hows the old course looking these days. I haven't played there since the mid 90's. That, Hillsborough CC and Bunker Hill were some great little muni's. Now that they have Neshanic I could imagine those courses are very easy to get a tee time on.

I just bought into there Player Developement Program. $279.00 a year (ends 12/31) free balls, use of the driving range, putting/chipping green and sand trap. You also can play the East course with a cart for only $15.00 seven days a week in the summer after 5 pm. Played last night and finished before 9. A great deal if you are looking to practice and play after work.

I got your PM. I;ll be going away next week, but will hit you up the following week once I dig out of the rubble at work.
That's an interesting PDP at Royce Brook. I wish I knew about this earlier in the year. Do you have to be a Somerset Conty resident ot get that deal? I live in Middlesex COunty.

No you don't have to be a Somerset county resident. I'm going to find out if it is good for a year or till the end of the year. The regular price M-T in the evenings is $35.00, F-S $45.00 So for $15.00 it is a great deal.

had you not said '20 years' I would have assumed you were Damaikis's little brother. Anyway, ask him, Jersey Nate, or Golf4Life. They're the NJ guys.

Have you looked into GolfTEC. I know many on here have been having tremendous success with their system and I went through a fitting with them and it was outstanding.

This. I wish I had gone to them sooner rather than later. Great staff and they teach in a way that doesn't overwhelm you with multiple changes at once.

Thanks everyone, I've seen their adds, but I haven't known anyone who went to them. I like the computer feedback for the swing. There is on about 30 minutes away.

Have a great weekend.
