Default Handicap question
I played a hole that is normally a par 4. The tee box and most of the fairway was being resodded and closed. The temporary tees were about 80 yards from the green. I played the hole in 3 strokes. How do I record my score for this hole for handicapping purposes?

So you basically played the hole as a par 3 then and parred it? I would record a 4 (par).

Good question. I had something similar to that last year on a par 5, but the fairway had washed out and was being reseeded, so the tee boxes were way up which made the hole about 450 yards long. I wasn't keeping a handicap, but I'm quite positive the clubhouse did not alter their handicap tracking for it.

Was there any sign out telling you to play it as a par 3?

I'd ask them in the pro shop how they think it should be scored.
