That's a good deal. My last set of lessons was very reasonable with a four pack for $135.00. It can get very expensive depending on your coach's resume.
KellyBo's coach is a bit more and I suppose that is why, she is the good golfer in the family
Haha - yeah right. My coaching sessions are longer and are at a Learning Center with all kinds of technology available. My sessions include playing lessons on a beautiful private course. My coach just won Teacher of the Year for the state and he knows his stuff. His record of standouts speaks for itself. Unfortunately, you have to have something to work with! OG's coach is young, is the head pro at a golf course, and is trying to play on a mini tour too. He doesn't have all the training gadgets or facilities that my coach offers but he can look at a swing and coach from that. My coach is a teacher full-time. There are trade offs although they are both really good. I would be happy to have either train me but I won't leave my coach after working with him for a year now. It's all about loyalty and trust in him at this point. He knows me and my game like a book.
Ole Gray told me about his instructor and recommended him to me, so I have begun a 4 pack of lessons for $135.00. I am impressed with his teaching ability and his knowledge.

Just remember you get what you pay for.......

I'm paying 125 per hour in South Louisiana which is pretty high for down here but at the same time I'm getting a guy with an indoor hitting area, his own practice green, a trackman in use my entire lesson, and multiple high speed cameras. He has also taught multiple touring pros past and present.

45 bucks an hour for a novice to sit on a driving range with no real equipment and just eyeball it isn't a good deal.

I pay my instructor in beer lol. He was my older brothers golf coach for many years and theyre really good freinds so he says he wont take any money from me for lessons. so i just bring him a 24 of beer every few sessions. Hes a great player too, me and dent played with him last year, he was about 10 beers deep after 6 holes and still only shot 2 over

I paid $200 for 4 half hour lessons, but he normally charges $65/half hour.

it seems most places around here average $50-55 for a 30 minute lesson and double that for an hour. That's at most of the driving ranges mind you, PGA pro's at the courses seem to be a bit more.

Took my first lesson ever in Myrtle 2 weeks ago. It was $100 an hour but he charged me $50 because my father uses him when he is down there. Thought that was a very good price so I gave him a decent tip. I am going to take another one locally in a few weeks, I will check back when that one is done.

$50 for a playing lesson from a PGA pro that works at Dicks. Not a bad deal if you consider 4 hours on a course with him.

$40-$45 per half hr, ends up being 45 minutes though. I wait for the $25 special every year or group lessons.
