Default AdiCross - Who wears them?
Hey Y'all...I am thinking of buying a pair of the hybrid type golf shoes, specifically the Adidas AdiCross and wanted to know who out there already has them and what you think of them. I considered the Ecco line as well as I have heard a lot of good things about them, but those are a good deal more money than the AdiCross and $$$ is a factor. I volunteer for several pro golf tournaments through out the year and I need a shoe that has traction, but will be comfortable for 10-12 hours. The cleats tend to get uncomfortable after 6 hours or so and tennis shoes just don't provide the traction that I need. Any and all thoughts are welcome. Oh I put this thread here as I didn't consider it a fashion question nor an equipment one either. Thanks!!!

I bought a pair a week ago. I just wanted something to use at the range. I've worn them 3 times this week and can't believe how comfortable they are. I say that with surprise because I tried the ecco's on and thought they were more comfortable, but bought the Adicross because they were $50 less, and am very happy I did. Very easy to clean, only negative is they are only weather-resistant not waterproof. Hope this helps.

I have a pair of Eccos and a pair of AdiCross. In terms of comfort, I prefer the AdiCross. The Eccos have a hard plastic bottom with little diamond shaped nubs. The AdiCross bottoms are made of a more rubber like material with small round nubs. I haven't really noticed any diferences in traction between the two. Both provide adaquate traction for me. For 10-12hrs on your feet, I think the AdiCross would be good with the softer bottoms.

I recently bought a pair of Adicross and love them. I was really expecting to give up a little grip and stability in favor of comfort but was pleasantly surprised to find they may offer a little more. We have several college players and very good juniors at my club and they are all wearing them as well.

A guy that was paired up with us on Friday at Grand Cypress had them on, the white/white ones. They looked sharp, I think these will be a purchase of mine in the future, seem to be exactly what would be needed for the outing.

I'm thinking of picking up a pair as well. I like the idea of being able to wear them off the course but I am concerned with the nubs wearing down after walking on pavement. I do a lot of that sort of walking off the course and wondered if anyone could comment on the durability.

Well, I bit the bullet tonight and picked up a pair of the white on white ones. I had a couple of rebate debit cards totaling $70.00 so I only paid about $20.00 plus tax for the shoes. I figured for that much it was worth the chance. I will say that they felt really good walking around in store tonight. Will let y'all know how they stand up and wear after I have had them for a while.

Just finished 18 holes with my AdiCross and I have to say that they were probably the most comfortable golf shoe I've ever worn. The traction was really good as well. It was pretty dry out with the exception of a hole or two so no input how they will do in the rainy wet conditons. Certainly would recommend them at this point. Will see how durable they are in the long run.

Glad you enjoyed the round in your adicross. They certainly are catching fire on THP. I have a feeling we will see a few pair at the outing in may.
